all of us strangers

What a truly rewarding experience to celebrate this stunning film. From exploring the locations in Croydon, to speaking with Claire Foy about the connection it gives to the meaning of life. Phew!

Netflix - Sex Education

Netflix is all around us! I love the shows, the stories, the scripts - it’s been a wondrous journey working with the streaming platform. I was given location lists & access to certain spots then I headed out! Above is a project I adored working on; Sex Education!

Prime video - saltburn

A joy to celebrate this iconic film in Oxford with Prime Video. I explored the city and the streets where Barry Keoghan and Jacob Elordi strolled and where so much madness began… see some other posts in the London café..

@thecrownnetflix via Instagram

netflix - the crown

A show shining in royal flare and golden extravagance, welcome to the world of The Crown. This was a truly fantastic project to be a part of as most locations were already known to me. It was largely shot here in the UK with the use of stately homes and incredible estates.

prime video - upgraded

Another fun project to be involved with. The new Prime Video movie, ‘Upgraded’, was shot all over London - so off I went to explore the sights seen on the screen. It was a really fun one to do as it was all on my doorstep! From the Southbank to the Tate Modern, it really is quite amazing to see what is just in front of us…

netflix - the stranger

The Stranger is a mysterious show adapted from the mind of Harlan Coben. This project involved heading up to Manchester to explore the case that envelops this series. Harlan Coben novels have been doing great business on the streamer as of late, let’s see what else is cooked up!

universal - Stepping Through the world of downton abbey

It was a pleasure beyond words to team-up with Universal to explore the incredibly lavish world of one of my favourite shows, Downton Abbey! I was tasked to visit Highclere Castle (which was used as the real Downton Abbey throughout the show and films) and then travel to the French Riviera to showcase how a change of scenery was present in the new sequel. What a truly stunning adventure it all was! Thank you to all involved.

Disney titles available to rent and buy

disney - summer home entertainment 2021

I was very excited to collaborate with Disney to celebrate some home releases for all of us to enjoy. The brief involved a focus on titles available to rent/buy at home. The titles included; Black Widow, Luca, Cruella, and Free Guy. Since this was largely done during the pandemic, I had to be creative! I used a beach in the UK for Luca (I’ve finally visited the REAL Luca locations in Italy!) and used London as a location base for Free Guy since travel to Boston wasn’t possible at the time - I was really happy with how it all turned out.

Spencer, Kristen Stewart filming location

stx entertainment // neon rated - spencer

Entering the theatrical world of Princess Diana with STX Entertainment in association with Neon Rated. Delighted to have teamed up to celebrate the magnificent film, Spencer, which saw Kristen Stewart give an awe-inspiring performance in the shoes of this famous royal and human being.

@steppingthroughfilm & @cineworld via Instagram

cineworld unlimited

Growing up with countless visits to Cineworld cinemas, this was actually my first official collaboration in the social media world! Starting in 2019, this partnership is still ongoing, the latest post is above. The brief for this is to celebrate any possible theatrical releases in Cineworld Cinemas with a focus on the Cineworld Unlimited Card, a product which allows for unlimited cinema visits for a set price per month.

universal uk - christmas campaign

Life is better with Christmas movies. Universal have given us some truly classic holiday watches over the years. In this case, the brief was to honour some Christmas titles available to rent/buy at home; I chose Love Actually, Last Christmas, and The Holiday.

Amazon

Prime Video // @primevideouk via Instagram

amazon prime video - celebrating the small screen

Collaborating with Prime Video has led to some very exciting projects over the years! From Instagram stories/posts to live events, the streaming platform has many titles which are enticing and interesting to explore in reality. I’ve attended some openings for shows, such as Truth Seekers and The Wheel of Time to celebrate the releases, but the main aspect of this collaboration has been producing photography linked with the titles available on the platform at the time of writing, here are just some that I’ve covered; The Imitation Game, Bohemian Rhapsody, Run, Fatboy, Run, Good Omens, Inferno, and Parks & Recreation.

XBOX Watchdogs

@xbox via Facebook

xbox - watchdogs

This was a very interesting project! Leaning away from film and television, this project involved exploring the gaming world of Watchdogs for XBOX. The game bases itself in a digital London environment, so the brief was to head out and recreate some in-game scenes just like I would have for a film. A very fun prospect and a pleasure to be a part of.

focus features - last night in soho

A pleasure beyond words to have worked with Focus Features on this one. A range of social media posts were done, shared across the various official accounts, to celebrate the theatrical release of the film. After posting Edgar Wright’s films for years on my socials, he reached out to me and asked to collaborate on this - still in shock, quite frankly!

disney - The King’s Man experience

A very unique experience to say the least! A fun venture up to Chester with the Disney team to spend a few days as a ‘Kingsman’. I was, along with some other creatives, put through my paces with army tasks all linking back to the world of Kingsman. As a fan of these films, this was such a blast and a very unique way of marketing the film! Perfectly Kingsman in every way.

bafta scotland - british academy scotland awards 2020

It was a pleasure to collaborate with BAFTA Scotland to honour the productions produced and created in the country. This was in link with the BAFTA Scotland Awards which took place in December, 2020. I was tasked with exploring some iconic (and lesser known) locations in Scotland with a specific focus on Scottish stories and talent. The main areas of interest were Edinburgh and Glasgow, where many titles have been based. I visited locations from the likes of 1917, Trainspotting, World War Z, and Outlander.

World War Z Glasgow filming location, Brad Pitt

@baftascotland via Instagram

Bafta Scotland - World War Z in Glasgow

One main aspect of showcasing Scotland was to show just how much has actually been made here. The filmic landscape is vast and Glasgow has been heavily used throughout screen history for many, many productions that some people simply may not be aware of. The city is often used as a stand-in for America, for example, due to its large, open streets reminiscent of New York or Chicago; in this case, World War Z used the city centre as Philadelphia.

1917 filming location, Glasgow

@baftascotland via Instagram

BAFTA Scotland - 1917 in glasgow

Although heralded as a ‘one-shot movie’, 1917 is far from that. An absolutely incredible piece of filmmaking was born with this film and it’s been a pleasure exploring its roots; first as a fan and now with BAFTA. This scene takes place at the docks in Glasgow, however, it’s supposed to take place merely a short drive from the previous location in Wiltshire. Movie magic! Another example of showing the invisible productions that have used Scotland.

Filth filming location, Edinburgh, James McAvoy

@baftascotland via Instagram

bafta scotland - Filth in Edinburgh

There are so many productions that use Edinburgh here in Scotland, Filth is simply scratching the surface! This was wonderful to explore as I’m a huge fan of James McAvoy and all that he does. Edinburgh was, of course, a main staple to explore for this project. I also made sure to showcase a range of other films & television titles including: Waverley station in Avengers: Infinity War, Furious 9 down Princes Street, and Outlander weaving out of various alleyways in the city.

bafta cymru - british academy cymru awards 2020 (bafta wales)

Having collaborated on a range of other projects with BAFTA, it was really lovely to then also celebrate the world of Wales with them! I often travelled over to this part of the UK as I’m such a big Doctor Who fan, so to have collaborated in any way with the team here was really a pleasure. The task, much like BAFTA Scotland, was to explore some Wales born productions in honour of all that’s been made here. The main focus was to have the photos link with the nominated titles that year. I chose Doctor Who, His Dark Materials, and In My Skin.

Under the Silver Lake film locations, Andrew Garfield

@steppingthoughfilm via Instagram

mubi - titles available on the streaming platform

MUBI is a wonderful streaming platform which celebrates and houses an incredible amount of films. It was an honour to collaborate with them - and am continuing to do so. The beauty of MUBI is that their content slides more into the lesser known, independent genre which is fantastic for any cinephile like myself. The first title I explored for them was Under the Silver Lake in LA, it’s simply a great piece of film with an undertone of mystery and intrigue woven throughout.

The King's Man filming locations

@steppingthroughfilm via Instagram

disney - the king’s man, location project

Linked with the previous Kingsman experience in Chester with Disney, this was the 2nd part of the campaign. I was tasked with creating some fun location content to celebrate the release of The King’s Man on home entertainment. I opted to visit Savile Row in London, the street where the world of Kingsman was born and a staple location for each Kingsman film.

Jack Ryan, John Krasinski, London film location

@jackryanamazon via Instagram

Amazon prime video - jack ryan

Forever a fan of this show and this character, it was a pleasure to collaborate with Prime Video on another project, this time… Jack Ryan! The show, starring John Krasinski, is a global adventure yet it has many scenes based in London - a perfect project for myself being near to it all! The brief was to visit a range of scenes/locations as seen in the series and capture them in reality. A very fun exploration!
